One Father at a Time

I listened to Kevin Swanson's podcast and realized today that the cause of most of the world's problems today is that the hearts of the fathers are turned away from their children. 40% of children are born without fathers this year. That's up 6% from 1960. 50% live in a house without a father. 71% of fatherless teens are responsible for pregnant teens. 85% of fatherless teens are sitting in prison. 75% of fatherless teens are in drug treatment. 50% of all marriages end in divorce and our government system is trying to fix this by throwing 100 billion dollars at a fatherless initiative. The only solution is ONE FATHER AT A TIME! One father at a time needs to turn their hearts toward their children and follow Deuteronomy 6:6,7 "These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up." We, fathers, need to nurture our children with the word of God not only at church and at prayer times before dinner but in our daily lives. I need to spend time with Joshua and Caleb speaking the word of God into their lives. Lord, I pray that you will turn my heart towards Joshua and Caleb every day desiring that they know you and the power of your resurrection.
